I wrote this poem after a book talk with National Best seller Brad Thor.
Remove Yourself
Way up in the sky,
fly messengers that inform,
placed there by the guy,
thought to be the norm.
“Secure the American dream,”
was the line that we bought,
but quickly did they turn on us,
to secure our every thought.
Keeping files and files of data,
a mock-up do they keep,
in case we ever turn on them,
they’ll hear our every peep.
Did you think a thought contrary,
to the thought police?
Through surveillance they heard you,
deny and escape their fleece.
On the night you’re ready,
to face this awful truth,
remove yourself from yourself,
and leave no further proof.
